COPE MANIFESTO LAUNCH

Congress of the People ( COPE) is pleased to inform the country and members of the Media that we will be launching our Manifesto in East London, Eastern Cape on 9 March.

A month ago, COPE held its 2nd National Congress in Bloemfontein. Our Congress was modern and different in that we enabled all COPE members to view and participate in the proceedings. Those who were not able to be physically present at the venue were provided with the means to vote electronically from the comfort of their homes.

This achievement makes us the first political party in the Country to successfully embrace Electronic voting to allow all members a chance to elect our new leadership.

The Congress of the People is again planning to hold a unique event by inviting not only representatives of our Country’s Unions, NPOs, Business Communities or our Provincial delegates to East London, but creating an opportunity for all South Africans to participate and be present in this momentous occasion.

President of COPE, Mosiuoa Lekota, will introduce and outline our Manifesto to the country and will host several interactive live Question and Answer sessions over the digital platforms where the public can converse directly with COPE leaders.

Details of the launch are as follows:
Date : Saturday, 9 March 2019
Starting time: 10:00
Venue: Orient Theatre. East London
Address: Quigney Beach East London 5201
